Aukan emerged in March 2012 as a design studio based in experimenting with new materials, mainly from the reuse . From this experience was born the PET line, designed from the reuse of plastic bottles, which was first shown at Puro Diseño Fair 2012 where it won the Sustainable Design Award.

 

In 2013 Aukán exhibited at MICA (Cultural Industries Market from Argentina), Feria Puro Diseño, Arte emergente in Borges Cultural Center and Salón Virla. In September, that year it participated in argentinian pavilions at Maison et Objet Paris and 100% Design London, selected by Argentinian Foreign Ministry and National Plan of Design.

 

In 2014 Aukán has been finalist on Arqadia and Basilio Uribe contests organized by National Academy of Fine Arts. It Also exhibited on Roma Design Lab where it won a special mention with its Sinfín collection, and was invited to Guadalajara, Mexico, for the exhibition "Objetística Argentina"
